2. Verify your alert channels

Alerts are delivered to the channels you verify here. WallaWhats supports two destinations: a WhatsApp number (one-tap code, no SMS fees, no extra app to install) and an email address (six-digit code via standard email). You can verify one or several — every verified channel receives every alert.

Step 1 — Open Channels

From the left sidebar, click Channels.

Channels page with a verified WhatsApp number and a verified email

Step 2 — Click + Add channel

You'll see a small form with two channel-type options.

Adding a WhatsApp number

  1. Phone number — enter in international E.164 format, starting with + and the country code. Examples:
    • +34612345678 (Spain)
    • +14155552671 (US)
    • +447911123456 (UK)
  2. Display name (optional) — a friendly label like "Personal" or "Work phone". Useful if you later add multiple channels.
  3. Click Send code.

Country code matters

Make sure to include the + and the country code. Numbers entered without a country code will fail.

Adding an email address

  1. Email — type any address you control (you@example.com).
  2. Display name (optional) — a label for your own reference.
  3. Click Send code.

Step 3 — Receive your code

  • WhatsApp — within a few seconds, you'll receive a message from WallaWhats containing a 6-digit verification code:

    WallaWhats

123456 is your verification code. For your security, do not share this code.

Tap Copy code — WhatsApp copies the digits to your clipboard automatically.

  • Email — check your inbox for a message subject "Your WallaWhats verification code". The 6-digit code is in the body.

Step 4 — Enter the code

Back in the browser, enter the 6-digit code into the verification field and click Verify.

Step 5 — Confirmed

Your channel appears in the list with a green Verified badge. From this point on, any tweet alert is fanned out to every verified channel — no extra configuration needed.

Multiple channels

You can mix and match: e.g. one WhatsApp number for instant alerts on the go and one email for an archived record. Plan limits cap how many of each type you can verify (see Manage your plan).

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the WhatsApp code.

  • Check you entered the number in the correct E.164 format.
  • Make sure the phone is connected to the internet and WhatsApp is installed.
  • Wait up to 1 minute — delivery can occasionally be delayed during peak hours.
  • Click Resend code if nothing arrives.

I didn't receive the email code.

  • Check your spam / promotions folder.
  • Confirm the address is typed exactly right.
  • Click Resend code to trigger a fresh send.

The code expired.

  • Codes are valid for 15 minutes. If yours expired, click Resend code to get a new one.

I need to remove a channel.

  • Click the trash icon next to the channel row. Alerts stop going to that destination immediately. Active subscriptions stay; they just fan out to whichever channels are still verified.

What's next

Your alert channels are verified — now you can start monitoring X accounts.
